How to Edit Audience Filters and Actions for Website Visitors in Pearl Diver

Navigating to existing audiences and editing your website visitor filters and actions in the Pearl Diver dashboard

In your Pearl Diver account, you are able to segment your website visitors based on demographics, dates or pages visited, or by UTM information. This article will walk through how to make changes to any existing audience segment you have already created.
 
💡How to Edit Audience Filters
  1. Login to your Pearl Diver account and navigate to Audiences in the left-hand navigation panel

  2. Select the audience you would like to edit

  3. Click the edit pencil in the top right hand corner

  4. Select the websites you would like to keep in the audience and click Next (if no changes need to be made, click Next)

  5. Click Add Filter and select the filter you would like to utilize

  6. Add as many filters as you'd like. If you want to delete a filter, click the trash can icon next to the filter you would like to delete

    There are three input field: identifier, operator, and value(s).
    1. Identifier: This is the attribute or characteristic you want to target. For example, "Age," "Industry," or "Visit Count."
    2. Operator: Describe the relationship or condition for the chosen identifier. You can select options like "Is," "Greater Than," or "Less Than."
    3. Value(s): Input the specific details or data points relevant to the identifier. For instance, "25-34" for Age, "Sales and Marketing" for Industry, or "5" for Visit Count.
  7. Once you have added or deleted the desired filters, click Next
  8. Select or verify the actions you would like for this audience segment

As you edit the audience, the left hand panel will show all websites, filters, and actions selected for the audience. You will also see a pie chart indicating how many individuals are in your audience compared to your overall website visitors.

9. Lastly, you can rename the audience if needed and click Save once complete
