How to Create a Web Visitor Audience in Pearl Diver
Build a targeted audience from your identified website visitors by filtering on the traits and behavior that matter, then send it where you'll act on it.
Pearl Diver offers a few audience types. This guide covers web visitor audiences: groups built from the real people Pearl Diver identifies on your website, filtered by demographic traits or behavior so you can define your ideal customer profile (ICP) or carve out high-interest segments. ✅ Before you start
- Log in to Pearl Diver.
Build the audience
- Open the audience builder — On your dashboard homepage, click the + icon next to Audiences, or open Audiences from the left-hand navigation.

- Select your website(s) — Choose the website traffic to build from, then click Next.

- Set up your filters — Each filter has three parts: Identifier (the attribute you're targeting, like Age, Industry, or Visit Count), Operator (the condition, like Is, Greater Than, or Less Than), and Value (the specific detail, like "25–34" for Age).

Tip: Add as many filters as you like, each one narrows the audience. Don't use the same identifier twice, and finish one filter before starting the next. Click Add Filter for another, or the trash icon to remove one. - Check the audience size, then click Next — The size updates in real time as you adjust filters.

- Choose an action — Pick where to send the data: an ad platform, CRM, email tool, or export to your email. Don't see your platform listed? You may still be able to connect it through Zapier, which links Pearl Diver to thousands of other apps. Not ready to send it anywhere yet? Skip this step.
- Name your audience — Give it a clear name and an optional description.

- Save your audience — Click Save, then choose Save and Favourite to pin it to your dashboard homepage (up to 6 favourites), or Save Only to keep it in the Audiences section instead.
