How to Integrate MailChimp With Pearl Diver
Authorize MailChimp from your Pearl Diver dashboard, choose Many:1 or 1:1 tag-based mapping, then find your synced contacts.

Connecting Pearl Diver to MailChimp lets you target high-value prospects with your Pearl Diver leads, and run personalized email campaigns and retargeting based on the behavior and intent data collected on your website.

✅ Prerequisites

  • An active MailChimp account and valid login credentials.
  • An audience connected in Pearl Diver for the data you want to send, with the "MailChimp" action selected.

Connect MailChimp to Pearl Diver

  1. Log in to Pearl Diver.
  2. Click the + icon next to Actions, on the right side of the dashboard homepage.
  3. Click MailChimp in the left-hand navigation.
  4. Click Authorize. This prompts you to log in to your MailChimp account. MailChimp authorization window opened from Pearl Diver

Pearl Diver asks permission to access MailChimp data to create the fields covered below. The integration never deletes contacts. Once authorized, Pearl Diver saves a default Many-to-1 audience mapping automatically.

Switch to 1:1 tag-based mapping

When you switch from the default Many:1 mapping to 1:1 tag-based mapping, each Pearl Diver audience gets its own MailChimp tag within the same MailChimp list.

  1. Go to the Actions page in Pearl Diver.
  2. Select the MailChimp integration card.
  3. In the Mapping Settings dropdown, change the mode from Many:1 to 1:1 (Tag-Based Mapping).
  4. Click Update to confirm the change. A success message confirms the switch. Mapping mode change confirmation message

What happens next

  • On the next sync, Pearl Diver checks for existing MailChimp tags.
  • For each audience created or updated in the last 30 minutes, Pearl Diver creates a tag named PDV | [Audience Name], if it doesn't already exist.
  • Every future sync tags contacts based on their audience membership.
