How to Edit Audience Filters and Actions in Pearl Diver
Update the websites, filters, and actions on any website visitor audience you've already created, without building it from scratch.
In Pearl Diver, you can segment website visitors by demographics, dates or pages visited, or UTM information. This guide walks through changing an audience you've already created. Looking to build a new one instead? See "How to Create a Web Visitor Audience in Pearl Diver."
✅ Before you start
- An existing web visitor audience to edit.
Edit an audience
- Log in to Pearl Diver and go to Audiences in the left-hand navigation.

- Select the audience you want to edit.

- Click the edit pencil in the top right corner.

- Select the websites you want to keep in the audience and click Next. No changes needed here? Click Next to move on.

- Click Add Filter and choose the filter you want to use.

- Add as many filters as you need. To remove one, click the trash can icon next to it. Each filter has three parts: Identifier (the attribute you're targeting, like Age, Industry, or Visit Count), Operator (the condition, like Is, Greater Than, or Less Than), and Value (the specific detail, like "25–34" for Age).

- Once your filters are set, click Next.
- Select or verify the actions for this audience.

As you edit, the left-hand panel tracks every website, filter, and action you've selected, along with a pie chart comparing your audience size to your total website visitors.

- Step 9 — Rename the audience if you'd like, then click Save. To discard your changes instead, click Cancel.
