Pearl Diver's Beeswax integration syncs your Pearl Diver audiences directly to Beeswax as segments, ready for activation in your DSP campaigns. Once connected, Pearl Diver sends emails and mobile advertising IDs (MAIDs) from your audiences into Beeswax, keeping your targeting data up to date.

✅ Prerequisites

From your Beeswax account, you'll need:

• Email — the login email for your Beeswax account.
• Password — your Beeswax account password.
• Buzz key — your account's buzz_key, used to identify your account via the API. You'll find it in your Beeswax URL: https://<your-buzz-key>.beeswax.com.

Note: Your Beeswax account must have segment-write permissions enabled. If you're unsure, check with your Beeswax account manager.

🛠️ Set up the integration

1. Open Actions — Go to the Actions page in Pearl Diver and click Beeswax to open the integration configuration screen.
2. Enter your credentials — Fill in your buzz key, email, and password on the Beeswax action card.
3. Click Authorize. Pearl Diver validates the credentials against the Beeswax API and confirms once the connection succeeds.

Note: Your credentials are encrypted and stored securely. Pearl Diver doesn't expose them again after saving.

Add audience configuration

Once authorized, choose which Pearl Diver audiences export their data to the Beeswax segment.

• Under Audience Configuration, select one or more audiences to connect.
• Click Update to save.

Segments Pearl Diver creates in Beeswax use your internal audience name, combined with either the default prefix ("PDV") or your own audience branding prefix (for example, "MYOB | My Audience"). See "How to Customize Your Source Name and Prefix With Action Audience Branding" to set your own prefix.

🔍 Find your synced audiences in Beeswax

Synced audiences (segments) appear under Trafficking → Tools → Segment Uploads, matching your Pearl Diver audiences.

Note: Pearl Diver sends audience data to Beeswax using the segment_upload API in batches of up to 1,000,000 records at a time.

Limitations

• Only HEM and MAID records are supported — only the email and MAID properties of a contact record are included in the segment sync.
• One Beeswax account per tenant — you can connect a single Beeswax account to each tenant.
• Add only — members are added to segments, but automated removal isn't supported yet, so opt-outs (for example, GDPR removals) don't sync automatically.

🔧 Troubleshooting

• Connection failed — double-check your email, password, and buzz key, and confirm your Beeswax user has segment-write permissions.
• Your segment contains zero synced records — confirm your audience records include at least an email address (main and/or personal) and/or a MAID. Cookie ID, UID2, RampID, and other identity solutions aren't supported yet. Beeswax also has a built-in delay reconciling uploaded records with segments, so wait 6 to 24 hours and check again.
• Session expired — re-enter your credentials on the Beeswax card on the Actions page.
• Can't find your buzz key — log in to Beeswax and check your browser's URL. It follows the format https://<your-buzz-key>.beeswax.com, so your buzz key is the part before .beeswax.com.
